Private, on-device nursery camera

Know the night went okay.

Hushwing watches the crib so you don't have to — a real cry, a rolled-over baby, a warm room. One quiet nudge when it matters.

Concept product, pre-launch. Not a medical device — see the FAQ.

The 2am problem

The monitor is on. You're still not sure.

A parent squinting at a grainy feed, trying to tell a stretch from a real wake-up.

Every sound is an alarm. A sigh and a scream, treated the same.

No pattern, just guessing. Every rough night resets to zero.

Rolling and climbing. Parents sleep with one eye open.

Tired, happy parents checking a phone together at night
How it works

Three things happen, in order.

01

Mount the camera

One camera over the crib, on your home Wi-Fi.

02

It watches for patterns

On-device: sleep windows, real cries, position, room temperature.

03

You get a nudge, not noise

A notification when it matters, plus a morning summary.

What's inside

Built around the nights that are hardest to read.

Sleep pattern tracking

Naps and nights charted over weeks.

Cry alerts

Flags a real wake-up, lets settling fusses pass.

Rolled-over notice

A heads-up when baby rolls off their back, or bedding drifts.

Crib-climbing notice

For toddlers: a nudge the moment climbing starts.

Room temperature

A nudge if the room drifts warm or cold.

On-device video

Stored on the camera. Uploads only if you turn backup on.

Why it works this way

Built on guidance that already exists.

It surfaces what safe-sleep guidance already asks parents to watch for, sooner.

What pediatric guidance flags

AAP safe-sleep guidance: babies on their backs, cribs free of loose bedding, and overheating named as a risk.

Why the sleep tracking exists

A six-year study of 4,600+ parents found sleep loss after a first birth that doesn't fully recover for years.

Richter et al., Sleep 2019 ↗

Hushwing is not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, including SIDS, and isn't a substitute for a pediatrician's advice.

Who it's for

Three nurseries, three different nights.

0–3 months

The fourth trimester

First baby, no idea what "normal" looks like. The morning summary makes sense of the blur.

5–9 months

Just started rolling

Want to know the moment a blanket drifts — without watching the feed all night.

18–30 months

The crib escape artist

A toddler who's found the top rail climbable. The notice buys a minute's warning.

Questions

Before you ask in the comments

Is Hushwing a medical device, or does it prevent SIDS?

No. Not FDA-cleared, no claim to prevent or treat any condition, including SIDS. Follow your pediatrician's safe-sleep guidance directly.

Where does the video go?

Nowhere outside the camera by default. Nothing uploads, not even to our servers, unless you turn on optional backup.

Who else can see the feed?

Only accounts you invite — co-parent, grandparent, nanny — each revocable any time. No public link, ever.

What if Wi-Fi or power drops?

The camera keeps recording locally and resumes alerts once reconnected. It's an added layer, not a smoke-detector replacement.

How reliable are the alerts?

Good, not perfect — it can miss something or flag a false alarm. It cuts down on guessing, not on checking yourself.

What ages does it work for?

Newborn through about age 3 — crib-climbing notice turns on once a baby is mobile.
